Mike Meiners, President
A graduate of the University of Missouri in Columbia, Michael has been working in Civil Engineering Design, Construction Management and Land Surveying since 1984. After serving as the City Engineer of Florissant from 1984-1987, he founded St. Charles Engineering and Surveying, Inc. (SCES) in March of 1988. Michael and his team at SCES have now been a trusted resource for competent civil engineering in Missouri and Illinois for more than three decades. He currently serves as the City Engineer of Weldon Spring.
Jim Piper, Professional Engineer
Mr. Piper has 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering including design of roadways and commercial, industrial and residential developments. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, he joined St. Charles Engineering and Surveying in 2014. His projects have ranged from new construction, storm water management, new development design and roadway rehabilitation. Notable projects include North Price Road and Dielmann Industrial Blvd. in Olivette, MO and the Downtown Chesterfield Phase 2 development. His projects lie within numerous cities across St. Louis County, St. Louis City, St. Charles County and beyond and require coordination and approval with the governing authority and additional agencies such as MSD, MoDOT, MoDNR, AWC, Laclede Gas, and Corps of Engineers.
Rick Sieckmann, Professional Land Surveyor
Mr. Sieckmann has 17 years of experience as a Party Chief and Professional Land Surveyor with St. Charles Engineering & Surveying, Inc. A graduate of the University of Missouri, Mr. Sieckmann’s experience ranges from field data collection, construction staking, boundary surveys, easement plats, right-of-way dedication exhibits, record plats and ALTA Surveys. Mr. Sieckmann is proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and regularly attends survey seminars and classes.
Eric Ryan, Project Manager and Crew Chief
Mr. Ryan has 21 plus years of experience in residential, commercial, industrial, and rural land surveying. His experience in the surveying field include survey services for municipal road and drainage improvement projects, commercial projects, industrial projects, residential projects, radio and cellular towers, AT&T; and Sprint topographic surveys and easement staking along with topography, construction layout, and property boundaries. Mr. Ryan is proficient in using various surveying systems with compatible software as well as Lieca, Wild, Lietz, Topcon, Pentax Nikon, and T.D.S. Robotic System instruments. He has used the S.M.I., Lietz, Wild, T.D.S., and various 48GX data collector programs. Field operation use includes G.P.S. equipment.
